For many years, the CSDF has been able to provide travel funding for delegates to the National Seminar through a grant from Heritage Canada, making the Seminar economically feasible to attend for many from throughout the country.
McLeese Debate Foundation
The McLeese Debate Foundation was started by Willis S. McLeese as a joint venture between the CSDF and Upper Canada College. Mr McLeese set up this foundation to get more young people across Canada involved in debating. Each year through the McLeese Opportunities Fund, the CSDF distributes funds to each provincial and territorial debate organization for a project which aims to spread debate in that region. The McLeese Debate Foundation also supports the National Seminar with an annual grant.
Dudley & Company LLP – Chartered Professional Accountants – Regina, SK
Dudley & Company LLP in Regina, Saskatchewan has been a very kind sponsor since the COVID-19 Pandemic began. Along with other charities in Canada most of our income came to a halt when the pandemic began, Dudley & Company LLP recognized that we had a need and graciously offered us assistance. If not for kind gesture we would have struggled even more. We are very thankful for their support at this time.
SUNAIR CO. of Philadelphia has sponsored the CDSF after one of their partners attended our 2019 National Seminar in Morden, Manitoba. He was so impressed with the opportunity for personal growth provided by the CSDF at the Seminar. The CSDF is a true non-profit organization with no paid employees relying purely on sponsorship in any form to continue our outreach programs across Canada. We are thankful for this support.
