Team Canada is nine debaters selected from across the country. Coached by Tracey Lee from British Columbia, they represent the pinnacle of high school debating and compete for their nation in international tournaments.
Team Canada competes at the World Schools Debating Championships, which is held annually and hosted by a competing nation. This tournament is the highest level of high school debate in the world, and Canada has historically done very well.
The 2010 WSDC will be held in Doha, Qatar in February 2010. You can learn more about the 2010 Team here.
The 2011 WSDC will be held in Dundee, Scotland in August 2011. Team Canada 2011 will be selected in the summer of 2010. The national selection process begins with a selection tournament held April 22nd and 23rd at Glenlyon Norfolk School in Victoria. For more information about selection, click here.
