National Seminar 2017 – Port Hope and Cobourg, Ontario
The 2017 National Seminar will take place in Port Hope and Cobourg, Ontario from October 10th – 15th, 2017. The CSDF is proud to be celebrating its 51st Seminar this year!
The theme for this year’s Seminar is Electoral Reform in Canada. The first National Seminar took place at Trinity College in Port Hope in 1967. We are excited to return to Port Hope to celebrate 50 years of the CSDF, which also coincides with the 150th anniversary of Canada. We are extremely grateful for the support that Trinity College has shown in hosting this very important event. During your stay here, you will experience the hospitality of this beautiful school, and explore the natural beauty of the Ganaraska region.
Students are selected for the National Seminar by their provincial debate organizations. If you have any questions about your organization’s selection process, please contact them directly. For questions about the Seminar directly, you should contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Our online registration forms will be released in the coming months.
The National Seminar is able to provide travel funding for its delegates through a grant from the Government of Canada. To claim this funding, delegates will need to fill out the 2017 Travel Claim Form (Word).
For more information, download the 2017 Seminar Invitation, which will be sent to provincial organizations shortly. Information such as prepared resolutions will be posted when it is available.
